*** SLIPPERY CHICKEN ***
************************

This is slippery chicken, the algorithmic composition package. See
doc/index.html for installation instructions and a description of what
it does and how. This documentation and other resources are also
available online at http://www.michael-edwards.org/sc

To install, you will need a Common Lisp interpreter (e.g. Steel Bank
Common Lisp, Allegro Common Lisp, CLisp etc.). If you want to take
advantage of slippery chicken's CLM and CMN interfaces, see
https://ccrma.stanford.edu/software for how to obtain and install
those packages. You may also use slippery chicken to generate LilyPond
files to produce PDFs of your scores with that programme, which can be
obtained at http://lilypond.org/

To generate MIDI files and do some other core operations you need Rick
Taube's Common Music 2.6.0. This is now included with slippery
chicken. (Thanks Rick!)
